Message templates
The concepts here are stable; exact buttons and screens will be illustrated once the app’s interface is final.
Sometimes you know you should reach out but don’t want to start from scratch every time. Message templates give you a library of solid starting points so a thoughtful message is only a few edits away.
The categories
Templates are organized by the kind of message you’re sending:
- Encouragement — a lift for someone who’s tired or discouraged
- Prayer — letting a volunteer know you’re praying, or asking how you can
- Appreciation — a specific, genuine thank-you
- Vision — reconnecting someone to the “why” behind their serving
- Celebration — birthdays, milestones, wins worth marking
These cover the moments that come up again and again in caring for a team.
You edit before you send
Templates are starting points, not send-and-forget. You personalize a template before it goes out — add the person’s name, reference something specific to them, make it sound like you. A template that arrives generic does more harm than good; a template you’ve made personal in fifteen seconds lands well. The product is built around that edit step on purpose.
How templates and AI work together
The same categories can be powered by AI assist, which can generate a fresh, personalized draft in any of these themes — using what the app knows about the volunteer (name, team, birthday, last contact). Whether you start from a saved template or an AI draft, the final step is the same: you review, adjust, and send.
