Sign in with Google or Apple

Updated June 30, 2026

This describes signing in on the web app (and installed PWA). Social sign-in inside the native mobile apps is coming later.

On the Volunteer Circle sign-in screen, alongside email and password, you’ll see two more options:

  • Continue with Google
  • Continue with Apple

These let you sign in with an account you already have, so there’s no extra password to remember.

How to sign in

  1. Go to the Volunteer Circle sign-in screen.
  2. Click Continue with Google or Continue with Apple.
  3. Choose your account and approve the sign-in when prompted.
  4. You’re in.

Use the email your church has for you

This is the one thing to get right: the email on your Google or Apple account must match the email your church has on file for you in Volunteer Circle. That’s how the app knows which person you are and connects you to your teams, courses, and care history.

If your church added you under, say, your work email, sign in with the Google or Apple account that uses that email. If they don’t match, the app can’t link you to the right record. (Not sure which email your church used? Ask your church admin.)

Apple tip: Apple offers a “Hide My Email” option that creates a private relay address. Don’t use that here — it won’t match the email your church has for you. Choose to share your real email so the sign-in links correctly.

Troubleshooting

A button says the provider “isn’t set up yet.” That sign-in method just isn’t enabled yet. Use your email and password instead — it always works.

Sign-in succeeds but you don’t see your church. The email on your Google/Apple account probably doesn’t match the one your church has for you. Sign out and either sign in with the matching account or use email and password, and check the email on file with your admin.
